ſt er a whirlwind four days of nonstop exhibiting, networking, min- gling, celeb-spotting, wining and dining, the fi rst annual Miami [SOLO]—held during Miami Art Week from November 30th to December 4th—was offi cially declared a success. "I met a lot of collectors, galleries and curators interested in my work from attending Miami [SOLO] and I stay in touch with the
majority of them through social media, such as Twitter," says Los Angeles-based abstract painter Davyd Whaley (www.davydwhaley.com). "Showing my work in Miami was the right decision, and it has led to so many opportunities. I am showing in Toronto in April, the Hamptons in July and New York in September." More than 100 talented artists from near and far—including Russia, Brazil, Japan
and Turkey—were on hand to show off some of their latest works to the art lovers and buyers in attendance. Here's a recap of some of the action. ABN
